01Who we are
becomemarketer.io is operated by JAROSLAV MITROFAN, a sole trader, registered at nám. Míru 135/11, 787 01 Šumperk, Czech Republic, company ID 05911061. We are not VAT registered.
We are the data controller for everything described here. For anything privacy-related, write to support@becomemarketer.io — a person reads every message.
02What we collect
When you just read the site
Your browser sends an IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for and the page you came from. Our hosting keeps this in server logs. We also load a small number of scripts described in section 5.
When you write to us through the support form
Your email address and the message you send, so we can reply.
When you buy
- Email address, country, and — only if you ask for a company invoice — company name, tax ID and address.
- Order number, amount, currency and time of purchase.
- The username you choose, and your confirmation that you want access straight away (with the time you gave it).
- Payment confirmation from Stripe, plus the card brand and last four digits.
We never see your card number. Card fields on our checkout belong to Stripe and are loaded directly from Stripe's servers. Full card details never touch becomemarketer.io.
When you use your account
Login email, hashed password, and which lessons and libraries you have opened, so your progress works and your access can be restored if you lose it.
03Why, and on what legal basis
04Who processes your data
We process your data ourselves and work with third-party service providers for website operation, secure storage, email delivery and payments. Providers acting on our behalf process data under our instructions; some services also act as independent controllers, as described below.
We do not sell your data. We share it only as needed with the service providers described above, or where required by law.
05Cookies and the Meta Pixel
Strictly necessary
WordPress and WooCommerce set cookies that keep you signed in, remember your cart and protect forms against abuse. The site does not work without them, so they are set without asking.
Advertising — the Meta Pixel
We run ads on Facebook and Instagram. The Meta Pixel tells us which of them lead to someone reading the free lesson or buying. It records events such as opening a page, scrolling halfway, clicking a button, reaching the paywall, starting checkout and completing a purchase.
- We never send your email address, name or address into an event. Event parameters are filtered before they are sent.
- The Pixel loads only after you accept marketing cookies.
You can change your choice at any time in the cookie settings on this site, and you can limit what Meta does with ad data in your Facebook ad preferences.
06Marketing emails
We only email you if you bought something or wrote to us. Buyers always get the transactional emails — login details, invoice, access information — because those are part of the contract, not marketing.
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Unsubscribing does not remove your account or your access.
07How long we keep things
- Invoices and payment records — for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law.
- Your account — for as long as it exists. Access is lifetime, so we keep it until you ask us to delete it.
- Marketing email address — until you unsubscribe, request deletion or reach 12 months of inactivity, whichever comes first. After unsubscribing, we may retain a minimal suppression record solely to respect your opt-out.
- Support emails — only as long as needed to resolve your request and any related dispute.
- Server logs — managed by our technical service providers under their retention settings, for as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
- Pixel data — retention is set by Meta; see their data policy.
08Transfers outside the EU
Some of the services above are based in or transfer data to the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses otherwise. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards that apply to a specific provider.
09Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;
- restrict or object to a particular use, including profiling for ads;
- export your data in a machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent at any time — this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
Email support@becomemarketer.io and we will respond within 30 days.
10Children
This site and the product are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, write to us and we will delete it.
11Changes
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will say so by email before it takes effect.
